In 2021, Nick spent 6 months in 3 different hospitals recovering from Covid. While in the hospital death overtook Nick. However, God brought Nick back. All in all, Nick dodged death 4 times and should have lost his voice - but God intervened at every turn! A mere 2 months after Nick returned home, he and Kathy would lose their oldest daughter to Covid. Nick speaks about how Covid struck his family and gave rise to a year of struggle, loss, and ultimate triumph. Nick tells about how recently God released him from dialysis. Nick talks about how his experience reinforced his passion to influence people for the God’s Kingdom. In his talks, Nick emphasizes 1 Peter 4:12 "do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you." and Acts 16 where Paul & Silas used their prison situation to influence for the Kingdom. Dr. Nicholas Marica (Nick) is the Discipleship Pastor at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va. (about 10 miles north of Lynchburg, Va.) as well as the Vice Chancellor of Amherst Theological Seminary. He earned his DMin in 2018 from Amherst Theological Seminary. He received his M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2011 and works as a Pastoral Therapist.
